Christmas Wreath Classes

Class Now Full!

We're going home to Wales for our wreath making this year!

You are invited you to join me on Sunday 14th December at the wonderful Wernog Wood, Ruthin, North Wales. There is something magical about being surrounded by a beautiful Welsh woodland to inspire heartfelt creativity while making your very own sustainable, seasonal Christmas wreath.

As always, seeking the sustainable, there are a couple of options to choose from. Come to one, or both! We'll be making a traditional wreath in the morning, using beautifully fresh seasonal British grown foliage. In the afternoon, we're creating an everlasting wreath, made with flowers grown in my canalside cutting garden and dried in our draughty wharf.

I'll share my unique way of wreath making. With sustainability at its heart, we'll chat about why there's no moss, our passion for using only British grown ingredients, and the the little things that make a big difference to the design of your wreath. You'll learn all about sustainable mechanics and make a wreath with depth and movement, as well as understanding how to place focal elements and create beautiful textural layers.

This is our first Christmas at Wernog Wood. We'll be in Claire and Rob's warm studio looking out onto the Welsh hills for inspiration and I am totally excited.

We taught our dried wreath making online for many years, so I am thrilled that our first in person course for making wild garden style everlasting wreaths is at Wernog Wood. If you're a flower grower, or even if you're not, I'll be sharing the specifics on what flowers are great for drying, and critically how best to dry them, alongside the techniques to make a wreath that will last well beyond Christmas. They'll even be the gift of some seeds for you to grow your own next year.

The classes are for 10 so there's lots of time for individual focus. You can even stay at their magical Red Shed, which 2 of my summer class attendee's were raving about aligned with the fantastic review in "The Times".

Book your wreath place below and if I haven't booked the Shed, it will be available to stay in if you come from further afield.

We’d love to inspire you to create beautiful wreaths that are rooted in resilience and respect for the earth, and to say hello in the company of like minded wreath makers.

Online Floral Classes

Always, our fierce focus in our unique online classes is to share how we create our signature "Wild garden Style" floral designs using local, scented, seasonal and sustainable flowers.

In fact. we only ever use local, garden grown (in our case) British flowers. Our desire is in every class to inspire you to create your own planet friendly, environmentally conscious floral designs using ingredients that reflect your season, your flora and your locale.

Rather than a constraint, we believe creating with your own seasonal garden grown flowers encourages you to make floral art that truly embodies your own unique floral signature.

2023 will be our 4th season of live online classes.  We look forward to continued conversations with sustainable floral enthusiasts from the far flung Scotland Highlands, down to Devon and Cornwall, across to Wales, and way beyond to North America, Australia, New Zealand.
