British Flowers Week Bouquet Class
13 June 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm£55
In this bouquet class, held during a week of celebration of British Flowers and the British Flowers movement, you will learn “how to do the flowers” as Constance Spry would often remark, in a nurturing and creative environment. I will show you how to cut and condition your flowers as you take time to be inspired by the fragrance and flowers of the early summer season.
You will gain an understanding of the ideal types of seasonal ingredients to choose to create a beautiful scented wild garden style hand tied bouquet.
All the ingredients will be ethically sourced, and either grown in my canalside cutting garden or sourced from other eco friendly British Flowers growers. It is important to us that the beautiful flowers in our eco friendly flower classes have minimal impact on the environment.
As well as a floral bouquet, you’ll come away with your own hardy annual seeds for an early Autumn sowing to start your very own cutting garden.
Our eco friendly floral design classes are held in our vintage village hall. if you intend to attend from further afield, lunch can be be obtained in our local pub just across the road (separate charges will apply), with accommodation also available if required for the night before.
I will demonstrate how to create a hand tied bouquet in my wild garden style of floral design using flowers and foliage from my canalside cutting garden. Our classes are kept intentionally small so that I can guide you while making your own creation.
This flower workshop would make the perfect birthday gift for the flowery friends or relatives in your life.
There will of course be sustenance as you create your floral masterpiece and join in my celebration of British Flowers Week. Tea will be served in vintage cups and some yummy eats will be on hand (my home made fruit cake loaf is legendary she says modestly).
This flower workshop for British Flowers Week would also make the perfect birthday gift for the flowery friends or relatives in your life and a gift card can be supplied for this purpose upon request.

British flowers are key to my wild garden style floral design for both aesthetic and environmental reasons.
Iam an artisan florist growing British flowers with a design studio and cutting garden nestled beside a historic canal in rural Cheshire.
If sustainability is important to you, if it matters that your flowers are as lovely to the environment as they are to look at, then I am a kindred spirit.
Get in touch to discuss your wedding or event. You can also be inspired and learn what informs my original designs by attending one of my 2020 flower classes - have a look at the full programme on the site.
