Chatsworth gardens
We are so delighted to talk at the Chatsworth Garden and Plant Fair from Friday 7th June to Sunday 9th June 2024. Each day at 11am, we’ll talk about two of our very favourite things – sustainable planting and dried flowers.

Once you visit, I think everyone holds a special place in their heart for the beautiful Derbyshire Estate that is Chatsworth. I have such fond memories of chickens running in the car park. I imagine they provided great manure! The house is of course iconic but the gardens, oh the gardens! They are just the most magical and joyful sanctuary a world away from the 21st century.

If you can drag yourselves inside for a few moments at 11am, I’ll be so pleased to say hello. In my Chatsworth talk, as well as chatting about the sustainable planting practices that we’ve adopted over the years on our solid clay soil, I’ll share the sustainable way I create everlasting flowers, and our favourite flowers we grow for drying. The focus is on both the practical and achievable ways that each one of us can adopt, simple sustainable steps to help the environment, as well as some inspiration to start your very own sustainable cutting garden.

In our marquee, come and see the Fierceblooms Floral Compass. Exhibited at Chelsea Flower Show 2023, each of the twelve symbols on the compass shows twelve ways in which we can be more sustainable.

Examples of our Wild Garden Style floral designs, including wreaths and garlands, will decorate our marquee. We’ll also have a new herbal Tussie Mussies, dried and fragrant nose gays that would have been carried around Chatsworth back in the day I am sure.

Fierceblooms is a small sustainable floral business. We  grow scented seasonal flowers in our Cheshire canalside cutting garden for the wildlife, for life’s floral events, and quite honestly for our own sanity.

Each and every flower we create with for our fierce floral business is British grown. No flower we use is ever flown.

About

We're an environmentally conscious local floral business rooted in our wild Cheshire canal side cut flower garden, inspiring our weddings, workshops and creative digital online classes. If sustainability matters to you, if you care that floral creations are as kind to the environment as they are beautiful, then I am a kindred spirit.

Online Floral Classes

Always, our fierce focus in our unique online classes is to share how we create our signature "Wild garden Style" floral designs using local, scented, seasonal and sustainable flowers.

In fact. we only ever use local, garden grown (in our case) British flowers. Our desire is in every class to inspire you to create your own planet friendly, environmentally conscious floral designs using ingredients that reflect your season, your flora and your locale.

Rather than a constraint, we believe creating with your own seasonal garden grown flowers encourages you to make floral art that truly embodies your own unique floral signature.

2023 will be our 4th season of live online classes.  We look forward to continued conversations with sustainable floral enthusiasts from the far flung Scotland Highlands, down to Devon and Cornwall, across to Wales, and way beyond to North America, Australia, New Zealand. I felt like I was there. I just couldn't reach out and stick my nose in the flowers. It was as if I was sat in your front room watching your creativeness.
