My Cutting Garden – Nurturing Or Nurtured By Nature

Summary

Fierceblooms discussing how her canalside cutting garden is nurtured by her and is itself the vehicle whereby she is nurtured by nature.

Nurturing our wild garden is my focus right now……

…..or is my wild garden nurturing me? Things in life are often the other way round. In late winter, as my potatoes are chitting on the Wharf’s window ledge, there are patches of frothy cow parsley shooting and bulbs braving the Cheshire weather.

Most gardeners are already planning, weeding, sowing, if not quite digging for the season ahead. Our floral seasons are carrying on, whatever else is happening. So, I have decided to take a leaf out of its book, if you’ll pardon the pun.

Along with our garden, we’ve been carrying on too. We’re daring to be different, and reimagining how we do our flower classes for a more sustainable mothers day.

Our wild garden style “Nurture and Nature” booklet is written and our mothers day bouquet class is coming up soon. In this world of ours that is feeling disconnected and isolated, we want our “online” to be so so much more than the click of a button. I think it matters to nurture both our environment and ourselves. I think it matters to use local seasonal, and in our case, British grown flowers. And more than ever, I think it matters to keep creating.

I hope you do too. Contact me to join us.

About

A 19th century historic wharf and Cheshire canalside cutting garden is the inspiration for our wild garden style ethos. I root my floral design in every precious fleeting seasonal moment, growing and creating only ever with local seasonal scented British flowers.

If sustainability matters to you, if you care that floral creations are as kind to the environment as they are beautiful, then I am a kindred spirit.

We share our artisan florals in our live online virtual flower classes, and with our flowers, create bouquets and undertake a few intimate Cheshire weddings a year.

Floral Classes For 2022

Sadly …

.....our canalside wild garden LIVE online classes have finished for now.

Thank you if you were part of the "Nature and Nurture" flower class series 1H 2021. We loved every single class from everlasting dried Valentine's Wreath's, and wild garden style bouquets for Mother's Day, Easter and Spring with the final bouquet class on the summer solstice.

We don't have any further classes right at the moment, but we are finalising our programme for 2H 2021 right now so check back soon or subscribe to our newsletter to be amongst the first to hear!

We are plotting and planning, exploring and investigating floral classes for 2022.

Always, our fierce focus is to share how we create our signature "Wild garden Style" floral designs using local, scented, seasonal and sustainable flowers.

In fact. we only ever use local, garden grown (in our case) British flowers. Our desire is in every class to inspire you to create your own planet friendly, environmentally conscious floral designs using ingredients that reflect your season, your flora and your locale.

Rather than a constraint, we believe creating with your own seasonal garden grown flowers encourages you to make floral art that truly embodies your own unique floral signature.

2022 is our 3rd season of live online classes.  We look forward to continued conversations with sustainable floral enthusiasts from the far flung Scotland Highlands, down to Devon and Cornwall, across to Wales, and way beyond to North America, Australia, New Zealand. To hear more subscribe to our newsletter.

Online Flower Class Testimonial

I felt like I was there. I just couldn't reach out and stick my nose in the flowers. It was as if I was sat in your front room watching your creativeness.
